From a small community initiative in Port Harcourt to a recognized foundation transforming lives across Rivers State — our history is one of relentless dedication to children who deserve better.
Our founder, Sekibo Dede T., started visiting children in the Diobu area of Port Harcourt, providing basic educational materials and spiritual support from personal savings. What began as one man's passion soon attracted a small group of like-minded volunteers.
With support from local churches and community leaders, we opened our first learning center in Mile 3, Diobu. Twenty-five children who had never attended school were enrolled in basic literacy and numeracy classes. The foundation was officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission.
Recognizing that health is essential for learning, we launched our first medical outreach program in partnership with local healthcare workers. Over 300 children received free malaria treatment, deworming, and nutritional supplements in communities across Port Harcourt.
We introduced vocational training for out-of-school youth and single mothers in partnership with local artisans. Tailoring, hairdressing, and basic computer skills became available, empowering families to break the cycle of poverty. Our reach grew to include communities in Oyigbo and Eleme.
Today, we serve over 500 children across five communities in Rivers State. Our programs now include educational support, medical care, skill acquisition, and material assistance. With a growing team of dedicated volunteers and staff, we're building a future where every child in Rivers State has hope and opportunity.
